Pulling over for a late dusk photo in the desert, a strand of grass stood out against the more towering cactus to find its way into my lens.
Sad Zoo
This old sad mule with tears falling from his eyes stands bored at the Phoenix Zoo. The Mule is part of a larger area dedicated to a petting zoo, which is a sad statement in itself for me as it suggests that young children have no other contact with farm animals, and these then become as exotic as animals from Africa, Asia, and South America.
Out to Dinner
My mom invited us for dinner this evening. Being on the west side of Phoenix, we opted for Maharaja Palace Indian Restaurant on Bell Rd and 57th Avenue. An indulgent dinner of Bhel Puri and Papri Chaat for an appetizer and then Mushroom Bhaji, Began Bartha (Eggplant), and Karahi Aloo Palak (Potato and Spinach) for our main dish. Our prior visit to Maharaja was for Jay’s birthday last July.
Overcast Evening
Becoming familiar with the new camera and too busy with building a new computer for Caroline, today’s POTD is a lazy night shot of our parking area.
