Try as I might, when I finally treated myself to a shopping excursion at Goodwill, I wasn’t able to find more than one t-shirt. At least it was less than $5 even though it looks brand new, and it bears a German logo. Of course, this is the kind of store you have to visit regularly, so I’ll be back soon (or so I hope).
Home Alone Day 18 – Flying Home
As we are waiting for our flight home, blue sky finally appears. Unfortunately, our plane doesn’t. And when it does, it has a broken part. Our flight, originally scheduled to take off at 6 PM, finally departs at around 11:00 p.m. EST, getting me home at about 3:00 a.m. AZ time.
Home Alone Day 17 – Home Away From Home
View from my hotel room on the 6th floor. I’m actually enjoying the gray sky, rain, and greenery.
Home Alone Day 16 – Flying Away
After a busy first half of the day, our intrepid team enters a flight to the East Coast. James took this photo for me with my camera since he had the window seat.
Home Alone Day 15: Water in Phoenix
I love seeing the local irrigation canals because they give you these perfect reflections of a slice of the sky. Today was a rushed day because I needed to go to school, drop off some things at the library, and finish preparing for tomorrow’s trip to New Jersey.
Home Alone Day 14 – My New Toy
I finally broke down and bought a hair straightening iron. All this time I thought I had straight hair already! But in reality, it just tries to decide every day if it is wavy or not and in the end doesn’t make up its mind and just hangs there in its own messy way. This thing will help… and it looks kinda slick and cool, too! I hope I don’t totally kill my hair with it, because it sure makes me look nice – and is easy to use for a styling ignoramus like myself.
