About a week after the passing of Maria Altmaier, the owner/operator of our beloved El Conquistador Mexican restaurant, a bunch of us got together to remember this woman who played an incredible role in our lives for years. The roses were in memory of Maria, who always had fresh flowers by the register where she would linger talking with her regulars.
