Today is the first day I noticed that the tallest saguaros have sprouted buds, with a few having already flowered. These clusters of buds will open over the next few days to beautiful white, odorless flowers that ants seem to particularly enjoy. Saguaro flowers are often overlooked but should demand the attention of anyone lucky enough to be in Arizona when these giants give forth their wonderful eye candy.
